As a child I carried no specific curiosities, but as of now I am a person indulged with curious nature, especially in the field of science. The concept of turning nothing into something is science. It gives us the answers to the most mundane questions, which I carry great interests in. When witnessing the rapid growth, I simply cannot stop but feeling curious about the source of its creation. As a matter-of-fact I even carry an interest in reading text-books simply to quench this curiosity about the universe.
Thelma Golden makes the critique that art is a form of confessions which brings understanding within human beings. She also makes the point that there is more to art than just its image. For example, she discusses two particular paintings of an African American. One painting degraded the man, while the other complemented the man. Many believed that the painting that degraded the man was painted by a white painter, however it was painted by an African American painter. Moreover, she sees that artists are social catalysts changing the face of society one stroke at a time.
Music from the shallow culture, and tempo of work in the deep culture are two ideas that can very much be connected. Music defines whether the society is fast based (Asian Countries) or slow (Western Countries). Asian countries usually involve music that consists of fast paced drums which indicate that everyday is an adventure fast-forwarded. However, the smooth orchestra of the Western countries show a slow and leisure paced life. Tempo of work is one idea that brings a cultural shock to many as they travel from culture to culture, music is simply used to complement this tempo.
